- Also known as: RP, GTA RP

In GTA roleplay you do not play *yourself* in a sandbox — you play a character who lives in the city: a paramedic, a mechanic, a lawyer, a crook. Other players are the police, the judges and the shopkeepers. Servers enforce rules such as [Fail RP](https://thecity.gg/en/glossary/fail-rp/) and [New Life Rule (NLR)](https://thecity.gg/en/glossary/new-life-rule/) to keep the fiction consistent.
