GTA 6 Characters: Jason, Lucia and the Confirmed Cast

Rockstar has released eight official character profiles covering nine people — Real Dimez is a duo, which accounts for the discrepancy.

Beyond those, more than 25 named characters have been identified across the two trailers, the press kit biographies and the 60-plus screenshots released alongside pre-orders in June 2026.

The antagonist is not among them.

The protagonists

Lucia Caminos is the first named, written, playable woman in a mainline Grand Theft Auto. GTA 1 and 2 let you pick a female avatar, but those were silent figures rather than characters.

She was born in Liberty City. Her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and fighting for her family is what put her in Leonida Penitentiary — she got out by luck. What she wants is the good life her mother dreamed about back in Liberty City.

The first trailer opens with her being interviewed by a corrections department employee named Stefanie, whose name is visible on the desk plaque. In the second trailer, Lucia is clearly the strategist of the pair.

Jason Duval grew up around grifters and crooks and joined the Army trying to leave a difficult adolescence behind. That did not hold. He ended up working for drug runners in the Leonida Keys, which makes him the one who knows the coast and the water.

What is the story?

Rockstar's official synopsis: Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. An easy score goes wrong, and they find themselves at the centre of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida.

Character switching returns, and works mid-mission as well as in the open world.

Who else is confirmed?

Boobie Ike — a known figure in Vice City with interests in real estate, a strip club called the Jack of Hearts, and a recording studio.

Brian Heder — a veteran drug runner operating from a boat yard in the Leonida Keys, who has other people handle the dangerous parts.

Raul Bautista — an experienced bank robber who assembles crews and searches Leonida for people willing to take the most lucrative jobs.

Real Dimez — a rap duo of high-school friends, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, who turned street hustles and viral videos into something that is working.

Dre'Quan Priest — connected to a label called Only Raw Records, which is how the music scene threads into the plot.

Cal Hampton — profiled by Rockstar, with less detail released publicly than the others.

How does the Jason and Lucia relationship work?

Not through missions.

The relationship develops through time spent together in the open world — walks, shopping, salons, exercise, robberies. They can call and message each other. The romance gives no gameplay bonus.

Rockstar has also asked people not to overstate it. It influences the story and some mechanics, but how deeply you engage is left to the player.

Who is the antagonist?

Unrevealed. Rockstar has not named one.

Speculation points to an unnamed corrupt detective seen in the second trailer. It is also possible that Boobie Ike or Raul Bautista turn adversarial as the story develops — both are positioned as people whose interests may not stay aligned with the protagonists'.

None of this is confirmed.

Will Tommy Vercetti appear?

There is no announcement, and the expectation has a traceable origin.

The Vintage Vice City Pack includes a weapon pattern that has been described as a tropical design in the style of Tommy Vercetti, and edition copy references the Vercetti estate. Those are design references to the 2002 Vice City, not a casting announcement.

Rockstar has confirmed nothing about returning characters.

Who voices the characters?

Rockstar has not published a cast list.

Manni L. Perez is widely named as Lucia's performer, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Are there smaller named characters?

Several, mostly identified through trailers:

• Stefanie — the corrections department employee who opens Trailer 1
• Rudi — named in a social media clip, whose pickup truck stunt ends in an explosion
• An unidentified woman with two hammers — from a Trailer 1 social clip, who reappears in the August 2026 Extended Look recognising Jason and Lucia as they approach

There is also Leonida Man, which is not a person but an in-world label for strange stories about Leonida residents circulating on social media — a joke about a real internet meme.
